Sebastian Guerra and local artist Nick Cann are featured in the Napa Valley Register article "A Meeting of Artists." To quote Sebastian from the article "Learning at Oxbow gave me the opportunity to meet students from all over the country,” he said. “They came from various socio-economic backgrounds. I still remained friends with several other students.” Sebastian's end-of-semester project at Oxbow was a large scale oil on canvas portrait of a fellow student.

Mollie Biewald

Mollie Biewald was married on May 26, 2012 to Patrick Perry. Molly is a fourth-year medical student at Weill Cornell Medical College and graduates this Spring. She is to begin an internship in primary care internal medicine at Mount Sinai Medical Center in July. She graduated from Columbia University.

Rosie Shipman

Rosie Shipman attended School of the Art Institute of Chicago, then moved to Austin where she earned her Pastry certificate at Escoffier Culinary Academy. Rosie participated in the Fusebox Festival in Austin in an evening which melded poetry, painting and pastry.

Emily Esperanza

Emily Esperanza has been living in Bali, Indonesia working on a fashion travel documentary and reality TV show and was hired on as the project's primary videographer and editor. She also shot the The Veda Rays' (an art-rock Brooklyn-based band) first music video (feat. Julee Cruise) entitled "One Last Time." The video launched May 15th.

Rhombie Sandoval

Rhombie Sandoval was selected again for a gallery show at Art Center College of Design. She is taking the summer term off, plans to spend some time working on a farm and then traveling and shooting for her portfolio.

Amelia Sechman

Amelia Sechman graduated in May 2011 from California College of the Arts (CCA) with a degree in Photography and started working full time at Fraenkel Gallery in December 2011. For the past few years she worked at TBW Books as the Project Manager/Assistant Editor and interned at Pier 24 Photography. She has also worked as a freelance writer for the online art publication Daily Serving an international publication for contemporary art and is experimenting with curating. She curated her first show called "Are We Not Men?" at Root Division a community arts and education organization in January 2012. The show examined the failures in the relationships and dialogs between humans and computers.

Clara Dudley

Clara Dudley is a volunteer and site supervisor for the Santa Cruz needle exchange program. She was inspired early on during an Oxbow presentation by Jeff Schoenberg on homeless IDUs in San Francisco and the visibility of his kind of ethnography. It is a movement close to her heart (harm reduction, needle exchange, grassroots disease prevention, drug policy reform, etc). She has been a co-speaker at the National Harm Reduction Conference and is very proud of this program....to quote her "we didn't start it but we carry it on with love." She is also the Chapter Leader for the newly formed Students for Sensible Drug Policy (SSDP) chapter at UC Santa Cruz.

Daphne Taranto

Daphne Taranto finished her Foundation year at Maryland Institute College of Art (MICA). She declared a double major in Art History and General Fine Arts (BFA in both). She was also offered an internship at Vogue and is very excited to work there this summer and will intern under the Photo and Art Department.
