The end of OS35 is quickly arriving, and I'm glad to say that we made it through our Final Projects. This week, students have been working in the studios as much as possible - we only have a few hours left to finish our projects so the pressure is on! It's a unique experience being here during this time because we're part of a small community that's all simultaneously working on their own thing but stressing out together and helping one another up. Everyone's project is rooted in a topic the person is passionate about or interested in. I did mine on a very personal topic, using the essential question, "How does remembering your past affect your future?" This was the most challenging assignment I have ever done in my life, but I've grown so much from it. I'm excited to see all of my peers work during Final Show, just a week from now!
This week, we're cleaning, reorganizing, painting and spackling, installing, rehearsing, editing artist statements, and hopefully getting some sleep! If you're local, join us for the Final Show this weekend!
