Lucia Ippolito is working on a new project in San Francisco called the "Missions Makeover Mural" and since May of this year has been painting the mural in the Mission District's Balmy Alley. It is a public art project that she's designed and created right outside her house with help from family and volunteers. She launched a Kickstarter campaign online to help raise funds and to get the word out. She appreciates all comments about the work or memories of Balmy Alley

Katarina Schmidt
06/29/11
Katarina Schmidt just graduated Magna Cum Laude from Central Washington University with a BA in Art and a BA in Anthropology! She's taking a break to live school free and adventure-full. Look for her art showing in the Pacific Northwest, or on her web-site at www.rekartak.weebly.com. She's been in touch with Oxbow OS12 alumni Lisa and Katelyn. She's traveling to the west coast this summer and then in search of an artistic career based in the social services. To quote Katie "Hooray for art and people! (and dinosaurs and battleships still, of course)."
She hopes all is well in the Bay Area, and that Oxbow is flourishing. If there are any Oxbow alumni from the Pacific Northwest or who are now working in the Northwest she would love to connect, network, do some community art! Please contact her by email at rekartak@gmail.com.
