Mary Lacy was interviewed this summer on Vermont Public Radio by host John Dillon for "Making Things In Public: Muralist and Mosiac-Maker Mary Lacy" as part of their Young at Art series.
"Mary Lacy is a Jericho native who thinks big. She paints outdoor murals: giant images, usually of nature, that adorn urban landscapes. Her paintings of fish, hummingbirds and bees splash across buildings and along byways in vibrant color."

A recent project Make Out Party is being co-produced by Full Spectrum Features a Chicago based non-profit production company committed to diversity in cinema, focusing on work by women, LGBTQ and minority filmmakers. Mary Lacy just returned from a nine month tour across the US in a bucket truck. Murals were completed in nine states including Vermont, New York, Pennsylvania, Mississippi, Georgia, Louisiana, Texas, New Mexico, and Oregon. In each location Mary partnered with an arts organization or community organizer. The project was sponsored by Benjamin Moore paint and six of the projects were documented in video by Junro Productions. See the murals and videos at marylacyart.com.
