Peter Terwilliger
02/12/11
Peter Terwilliger is attending Massachusetts College of Art and Design in Boston studying Photography but also exploring Woodcarving and taking a Visual Language class centered around 3d, sculpture and time.
Many of you will recall the stunning large-scale black & white portraits that were part of the OS22 Final Show. The artist, Peter Terwilliger, is now an undergraduate at Massachusetts College of Art, where he received a full merit scholarship. Recently, he happened to mention to me in an email that he is trying to purchase a camera for his work, in particular, a Mamiya 7. As a photographer I understand that longing for a piece of equipment that will make it possible to do the work that is so important to you. I thought that maybe Oxbow could help. This is not a request that I put out there lightly. Peter is a serious student of the arts and deserves every opportunity to realize his vision. I’m hoping that maybe someone in the Oxbow community can help him obtain this camera. I’m sure that in his hands it will be much more than just a camera. Email us if you can help mail@oxbowschool.org
