Sara Crespin

Sara Crespin graduated from The University of New Mexico with a BA in Psychology and English in December 2014. Shortly before graduating she worked in the field of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) providing therapy to children diagnosed with autism and became passionate about the work. She applied and was accepted to Arizona State University's graduate program in Curriculum and Instruction: Applied Behavior Analysis (MEd) in Fall 2015. The arts still play a huge role in her life and she continues to paint and experiment with other forms of arts such as videography.

Adidas: Future Capsule

Lucia Ribisi is in a group show Future Capsule that opened March 8 at the New Museum in New York and moved on to The Seventh Gallery in Los Angeles on March 10 and is on view through March 13.

"Future Capsule features a collection of mixed-media artwork including photography, painting, digital art and soundscapes as well as an immersive video experience in which visitors are asked to complete the statement, "My Future is ... ." Nina Gregg

Nina Gregg was selected to participate along with 14 other artists/artist groups in the curated and juried show The Nerve: Performance Art Festival in Fort Lauderdale, Florida with her Oxbow final project Breathing Box, an interactive sculpture. Performances take place on March 18th and 19th and the work will be on display through March 26th. You can check out Nina's project on the Oxbow School website gallery!

Lulu Waks

Pack Trips in Patagonia!

Lulu Waks lives in her native California and works in land conservation with local ranchers, farmers and other landholders to protect their properties from further development. She also leads women on pack trips in Patagonia, Argentina with fellow guide Aly Moyer. Along for the 2nd annual pack trip was Oxbow's own Admissions Director, Holly McVeigh.

Temple Dance Initiation Course

Mary Arose studied at the Temple Dance Initiation in India, a month long intensive embodiment course, it required her to show up, in person, and be present with herself, her body, the group of women and the teachings. She said each day was profound and rigorous with almost 7 hours of physical training during the day and mystery school and chanting during the evening.

Slade West, Two Hours, 2016

Karen Achar attends University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) and is the curator and contributing artist in the group exhibition"Primordial Delight" in the Sculpture Gallery at UCLA's Broad Art Center.

The exhibit includes the work of Oxbow alumni and UCLA student OS30 Brem Finnie, OS29 Slade West-she's been on a gap year and starts at Bennington College in the Fall, and Benjamin Briggance.

The opening is Friday, February 12, 6-8pm and the exhibit is on view through the weekend. The image is by Slade West, Two Hours, 2016, charcoal and pencil on paper.
