It is with great sadness that we send news of a loss in the Oxbow alumni family: Cash Askew, OS23, passed away on December 2, 2016, a victim of the Ghost Ship fire in Oakland, CA.
Cash was a creative artist and critically acclaimed musician with the Bay Area band Them Are Us Too and was pursuing a BFA at the University of California at Santa Cruz.
It is with great sadness that we send news of a loss in the Oxbow alumni family: Jonathan Adkisson, OS29, passed away on July 15, 2016. We will remember JJ for his spirit, humor, and creativity.
JJ was pursuing a BFA in graphic design at CalArts and the Adkisson family has set up a scholarship fund to honor him. The JJ Adkisson Memorial Scholarship Fund at CalArts is a merit based scholarship for exceptional young artists in the graphic design program.
It is with great sadness that we send news of Paule Anglim's passing on April 2, 2015 in San Francisco, she was a long time friend and supporter of The Oxbow School and of the arts. Anglim was the honoree at Oxbow's 2011 Annual Benefit Event.
Retropective - Paule Anglim (1923 - 2015) opened at the Gallery Paule Anglim at 14 Geary Street in San Francisco, California on May 7, 2015 and runs through June 27, 2015.
Paule Anglim is a Trustee Emerita at San Francisco Art Institute and they will hold a memorial to honor her on Sunday May 31st.

It is with great sadness that we send news of a loss in the Oxbow alumni family: Madison Wilbanks, OS30, passed away at her home in Atlanta, GA of February 1st, 2015.
Madie was a senior at Holy Innocents’ Episcopal School in Atlanta, GA. She was accepted to New York University where she planned to study Photojournalism in the Fall. She was awarded a Gold Key in the 2015 Scholastic Art & Writing Awards in the category of Photography for her piece "Virginia."
It is with great sadness that we send news of a loss in the Oxbow Alumni family: Jennifer Bobrick, OS22. We will remember Jennifer's joy at seeing what her Final Project drawings looked like when lit from behind on a light box. Jennifer found her voice here at Oxbow.
Jennifer was a sophomore at the University of New Mexico, studying art and psychology. She wanted to become an art therapist working with children. To share your memories go to the memorial page created by her parents Amy and John Bobrick and brother Eric James.

It is with great sadness that we send news of the first loss in the Oxbow Alumni family: Ryan Humphries, OS11, sweet guy, gifted artist, and caretaker to many friends, died in his sleep on May 27th; he will be missed.
Ryan was a student at the California College of the Arts (CCA) with an Annie Glass Scholarship, making beautiful work; his drawings are simply incredible.
